True Grit - Agency Identity

It was September 2013 and Vega Brand Challenge was upon us once again. By "us" I mean the team I was placed in for this special assignment, which happened to be a mix of strategists, writers, and art directors – sound familiar? Our first brief was simple: to create an agency blueprint in 48h. Our brainchild, True Grit, took top marks for the Honours group and I'm proud to say that for five grueling weeks, my team lived out its ethos.

BRAND STORY
 
It was cold. Winter had long stolen the warmth from the land. The long grass was at the mercy of the wind as it waited for summer to release it from the frozen confinement. All around it was still, grey, unforgiving. Only the brave would persevere. Yet there he stood. The bison. Unwavering and resilient, for he knew, it was in his nature to stand the test of time.  We embrace the bison as a symbol of wisdom, silent confidence and everlasting faith.
We are True Grit. We are made of sterner stuff.
PERSONALITY
 
To hush the humdrums, risks need to be taken. Our vision is beyond measure. We know when to listen, and when to stand our ground. When the going gets tough, we don’t point fingers.
We clench our fists and move forward.

True Grit is the tenacious group of brand pioneers that leaves no territory unexplored. We know that the best ideas are only found in the sweat of the brow. This is why we work with clients that believe in character and longevity.

We cut out the bull and tell you about the real deal. We don’t believe in wastage, for us quality wins over quantity. One today is better than two tomorrow. Trust is earned, not bought. Because of that, we always hold ourselves accountable.
